Opolo Vineyards Wedding Photography

Opolo Vineyard is a beautiful location for a wedding, set amongst the California hills. There’s a great choice of scenic backdrops for couple portraits and wedding group photos, and the venue is really pretty inside too.

Wedding Photography

My wedding photography style is a mix of traditional style groups, with an informal and relaxed vibe. I love creating gorgeous couples portraits using scenic backdrops, and the Opolo Vineyard was perfect for this!

The Wedding Couple

I first met Alicia and Rogelio at their engagement session. We almost had to cancel because of rain, but their amazing coordinator was able to find a clear umbrella and we made it work. Even after a day of getting her hair and makeup done, Alicia was fully willing to step out in the rain and do whatever she needed to for their engagement pictures.

Their wedding day was no different and both Alicia and Rogelio had an absolutely amazing day exploring all that Opolo had to offer. The many beautiful buildings on-site provided both the bride and groom with ample space to get ready and the barrel room proved to be a wonderful reception area.

Bridal Preparations

Alicia got ready in the main house, which was perfect for her and her family. The spacious living room offered amazing views and let in so much natural light. When I saw the large, open area, I knew it was the perfect spot for her to get ready.

Bridal Portraits

Since the light was so amazing in the living room, we decided to take the majority of the bridal portraits there. It wasn’t time for the groom to see the bride, so we kept it inside for most of the pictures.

Pro tip: Allow time on the morning of your wedding to have a few portraits in your wedding dress. I was able to use the natural light in the venue to create these gorgeous photos on the morning of the wedding. The brides burgundy bouquet was really stunning.

Wedding Group Photos
