Getting Ready at Dana Powers House

Danny and Leanna got married!
I was honored to be a part of their wedding and be able to capture the best and most memorable moments of the day. Their wedding was filled with love, laughter and lots of family. I’m so happy to be sharing some of my favorite images with you.

Without further delay, let’s start with some of the photos I got while the happy couple got ready. Leanna had her hair and makeup done off-site, but she mostly got ready in the bridal suite in the main barn at the Dana Powers House. Danny and the rest of the guys got ready on site.

Details and First Looks

One thing I love to do is get photos of the details before the ceremony. That includes the dress, shoes, jewelry and anything else the bride might have that is meaningful to her.

After the bride was dressed and ready, we headed down to the bridge for the first looks. Leanna had a first look with both her dad and Danny.

Fall Wedding Ceremony at Dana Powers House

The ceremony was perfect. Danny and Leanna said their vows among friends and family from all over the country. Happy tears were shed and before they knew it, the officiant announced them man and wife.

Family and Wedding Party Photos

Somehow, Danny and Leanna were able to get all the family to the Dana Powers House early for family photos. I can’t remember a time when everyone was able to make it before the ceremony for photos. I was rather impressed, to say the least.
We took every available minute, but before the ceremony started, we had complete the entire family photo shot list. Both Danny and Leanna were beaming with happiness and both sides of the family were equally as happy. What a beautiful group!

We were also able to get all the wedding party photos done in almost record time. This group knew what they were doing and it showed! We stayed up by the main barn for the wedding party and I’m glad we did. The truck shed was perfect for the group photos. IT also gave an alternate background for the album.

Formal Portraits

Throughout the day, we got some more formal photos of both Danny and Leanna. Some alone, some together. We explored the lemon orchard a little and spent some time up at the main house. Let me tell you, a fall wedding at Dana Powers House is rather beautiful.

Reception

Danny and Leanna wanted to make sure they were surrounded by lots of family and friends on their wedding day. After all, that’s what life’s all about, right? They had about 150 guests and every single one of them had a blast at the reception. The Dana Powers House barn was the perfect size for such a large wedding reception and the outdoor areas made it so no matter your crowd comfort level, you’d be comfortable wherever you went.
The first dances were very touching and many tears were shed. Danny and Leanna are such a sweet couple and they anyone at the wedding could almost feel how much they really love each other.

Vendor Team

None of what you see here could be possible without an amazing creative team working together to make it all happen.

THANK YOU to all the vendors who helped make Danny and Leanna’s day the best ever.
