Fall Weddings
Fall weddings are very common here on California’s Central Coast and with good reason. Fall is a beautiful time of year to get married! In this post, I’ll talk about some great things about a fall wedding and some things to consider. You’ll also find some ideas for your own wedding!
Fall Wedding Cons
There aren’t a whole lot of negative things to think about with a fall wedding. The biggest concern in Central California is the intense heat the afternoons can bring. Having lots of shade and plenty of cold drinks available can help with this.
Since fall is a rather popular time to get married, it may be more difficult to find a venue with availability on your desired date. Some venues fill up a year in advance or more. Be sure to book your venue as early as possible if you plan to have your wedding in the fall.
Pros of a Fall Wedding
There are so many great things about fall. That’s probably why most couples seem to have their wedding around that time! Fall and spring are really great for weddings. Let’s take a look at some of the great things about a fall wedding
Fall Color Palette
Fall offers tons of warmth in the color palettes and even in the flavors. Savory and sweet are the perfect fall pairing. I like to think of cinnamon apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes to get my creative juices flowing for fall wedding ideas.
Fall Ideas
Apples are one of the biggest things about fall and they are super easy to incorporate in your wedding. Apple cider, caramel apples, apple pie, apples in the centerpieces are all ways to have inexpensive apples as part of your wedding.
Pumpkins are another fall staple. You could add small pumpkins to the centerpieces or have pumpkin pie for dessert. Maybe pumpkins don’t appeal to you, but the color does! Most pumpkins are a beautiful shade of orange and can easily add inspiration to your color palette.
Fall is the very best time to cozy up by a fire under a blanket with your loved ones. Create a cozy lounge area where guests can grab a drink by the fire and huddle together under some blankets when the crisp fall evening sneaks up on them.
