About Villa Loriana

Villa Loriana is the perfect elegant wedding venue nestled in the heart of San Luis Obispo county. The large, 2 story Italian villa has a bridal suite and a groom’s cabin for your weekend relaxation.

Waterfalls and creeks filled with lush greenery flow alongside a large park lawn at this venue. With such a beautiful venue, I really can’t imagine a better place to get married.

Villa Loriana Wedding Photography

There are some breathtaking locations for wedding photos at Villa Loriana and I definitely have some favorite spots where I like to take photos. Just outside the groom’s cabin, there is a beautiful patio covered by oak trees and the way the sunlight filters through is gorgeous.

A vine covered walkway and grand ballroom are also some of my favorite spots for wedding photos. There is no shortage of both indoor and outdoor photo locations and I always love finding new spots on the property.

Villa Loriana Rooms and Amenities

Bridal Suite

The bridal suite at Villa Loriana features two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a kitchen an bar. The room has ample natural light with large windows and French doors.

Groom’s Cabin

The groom’s cabin is just perfect for the guys to get ready in. It’s tucked away from view, so there won’t be any accidental bride sightings and the guys can take their time getting ready.

Grand Ballroom

One of Villa Loriana’s most impressive features is the the grand ballroom. Up to 350 guests can dine in luxury. The upstairs balcony leads to the bridal suite and offers amazing views.

Wedding Photography Information at Villa Loriana

Wedding Ceremonies at Villa Loriana

Ceremonies at Villa Loriana typically take place on the lawn with a raised pergola as the centerpiece for the couple. A paved aisle leading to the steps up to the ceremony site is the perfect location to say your vows. Seating is arranged on the lawn on both sides of the aisle.

Top 5 Wedding Picture Locations at Villa Loriana

The Villa

The villa itself is one of the main reasons to get married at Villa Loriana. The villa was designed with weddings in mind and it really shows. It’s honestly one of the most amazing wedding reception venues I’ve seen in the San Luis Obispo area. The open area and gorgeous windows of the main villa are absolutely incredible. Getting ready in the bridal suite offers abundant natural light and plenty of room for everyone to get ready. The spiral staircase in the bridal suite is a perfect spot for pictures of the wedding gown and the large French doors leading onto the balcony are great for those beautiful backlit photos.

The Waterfalls

Villa Loriana has several areas with water features and they are great for wedding photos. The main ceremony site features a waterfall in the background and a beautiful stone foot bridge leads to another small waterfall with plenty of shade in the afternoon.

Tunnel Entrance

The tunnel entrance is where your guests will enter the venue. The wood doors open up to this beautiful vine covered arched walkway. As the late afternoon sun filters through, the light is beautiful in this area of the property.

Under the Oaks

Just to the side of the main ceremony site, a large oak tree provides abundant shade from the warm, San Luis Obispo sun. This is a great spot for couples portraits or even pictures with your family and friends. I love it when couples get creative with their pictures the space under the oak tree is a great space for that! There’s plenty of room for everyone.

The Bridge

The stone bridge at one of the waterfalls is a beautiful spot for some quick couple’s portraits. With the sun behind you, that gorgeous backlit glow really takes your photos up a notch or two while you walk together or snuggle in close on the bridge.
