What happens now?
The wedding day goes by so fast and there’s so much to remember! Every vendor tells you a little bit about what you can expect and it can be easy to wonder who said what. That’s why this post is here. In this post, I’ll go over every step of what to expect after the wedding.
How long before the pictures are ready?
Every photographer had a different timeline for wedding photos, so I can’t really say there’s a standard time for all wedding photographers. I can, however, tell you that I like to have your images ready in 2-3 weeks.
That means that by the time you get back from your honeymoon, it will be time to come in to the studio for your reveal party! What’s a reveal party? I’m glad you asked!
What is an image reveal party?
An image reveal party is the most fun way to receive your wedding photos. Seriously!
About 3 weeks after the wedding, we’ll meet in my studio to really celebrate the two of you. I know, you just did that with the wedding, but this is different. There’s no pressure at all here! We simply have a good time and you get to see ALL of your wedding photos.
Reveal parties usually last a couple of hours and we can have pizza, sushi, McDonald’s or whatever else you want to eat while you’re here. If you just want to snack on all the dessert goodies that I’ll have, that’s fine too!
I’ll have some things ready for you when you get here. There will be some printed photos to see, an album design, custom made for you, and ALL of your wedding photos to ooh and ahh over. I promise, it will be a good time!
Who can come to the reveal party?
Anyone you want! Most couples invite their parents and their best friends, but I’ll leave that up to you. I have a large studio, so space is not limited. The larger the party, the more fun you’ll have!
What is included?
No matter what wedding package you chose, you’ll receive all the digital images from your wedding. I don’t ever charge extra for digital files. Most packages include a wedding album with 20 pages and a print credit that can be used for anything from framed prints to additional pages in your wedding album.
What if I want to order an extra album?
No problem! After we’ve designed the pages of your album, you can easily order an extra copy in any of the standard sizes. The price will depend on the size, but every size can be customized for the cover options. You can choose from fine leathers, eco-friendly leather, linen and even satin finishes. Custom lettering can also be added.
I have to say, wedding albums make the very best gifts for your parents. There’s no better way to thank them for helping with your wedding.
