CaliPaso is one of those wedding venues that you never get tired of photographing at. It seems like I find a new favorite photo spot every time I go out there for a wedding and this wedding was no different. The ceremony was held at a church in San Luis Obispo, but the reception was up the hill at CaliPaso Winery.

The bride was stunning in her wedding gown and everything was organized to perfection. The bride and groom even did their own flowers! How amazing did they turn out? I mean, really! They did an incredible job and everything turned out just the way they imagined.

The Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony was rich in tradition and it was an honor to be part of it. I always love learning about traditions that families honor in their wedding ceremony.

Having the reception at CaliPaso Winery meant that the celebrations could continue long into the night. The bride’s family was from Bulgaria and many of the festivities had roots in Bulgarian traditions. Everyone had such a fun evening and dancing was never questioned…always enjoyed.

The Grand Staircase at CaliPaso Winery

The outdoor, double staircase at Calipaso Winery is a favorite spot for couples and photographers. It photographs best after sunset and is a wonderful place to fit a large wedding party. It’s also a great spot for just the bride and groom to take some pictures at. The staircase is definitely a defining feature of this wedding venue.
